Market Garden 101

Growing Together launched Market Garden 101 in 2023 as our flagship site. Over time, the garden has evolved from a blank paddock into a thriving market garden, training, and demonstration hub.

Once our new Community Hub is established, we will run activities across both locations: Market Garden 101 will focus on food production and training, while the Community Hub will host social and community events, and programs with different groups in our community.

The site features:

• A market garden and polytunnel producing vegetables for our Online Food Hub.

• A Syntropic Agroforestry zone dedicated to mixed-species, fruit, and perennials.

• A large worm farm composting system that recycles food waste from local businesses.

• The Hive, a training and community space complete with an eco-building, sensory and habitat gardens, a small food forest, and a frog pond.
