Community Blitzes

What is a Community Blitz?

Run by a volunteer Growing Together team we will be putting on regular Blitz days that are open to anyone in the community to attend. It is a great way to come together, learn new skills and meet other growers in the community.

Every attendee who volunteers at a blitz can go into a draw to win the next Community Blitz for their own garden or a community space. Entries roll over as the project continues, giving active volunteers ongoing chances to bring the blitz team to their own backyard.

Donate Material

This is a volunteer run program without any funding and relies on generous contributions from locals and businesses. We welcome donations of:

• Plants & Trees: Edible seedlings, fruit trees, and native plants.

• Soil & Mulch: Quality topsoil, sugar cane mulch, and eucalyptus mulch.

• Garden Infrastructure: Raised garden beds, bird baths, stakes, and garden decor.
